about

These are a collection of songs recorded through the pandemic, when life was lived nearly always at home.

I shared these songs with my dad, getting feedback throughout the process, pushing me to challenge myself on what it means to be "done".

While not intentional, I realized a lot of these were inspired by impressions or aspects of our lives, like the daily grind of working and commuting, learning, reflecting on the past, and finding peace.

I realize that I really just make music for the two of us, but that's all I really need, and it's great that we can have conversations and pass the time on something I created, this time as a collaboration.

--

Work's Out Forever: F*ck yeah, it's time to go home - you're off the clock. Oh sh*t, maybe indefinitely?! Anyway, let's rock. "Needs drums".

Lessons: Sitting at the table, you've messed up and you're going to hear the hard truth you need to hear. But in the lessons, comes a lifting freedom feeling, and broken down, a sense that you're ready to rebuild. A familiar feeling from growing up.

Wide Open Country: Open Western America, fresh air and open space, and the feeling of being surrounded by end-to-end nature and sky.

Spinning Wheels: A commuting song. When your dad leaves his King Crimson tapes accidentally )or intentionally) in the tape player for your next drive. Just stay on the road and coast, you'll be home soon.

Boxing a Ghost: Eerie ghost post-rocking. Boxing up some memories and moving them elsewhere, but always there when you need them again.

Home Ranger: A year at home, you're the home ranger, man.

Lighthouse: The peace you need in a new place to be.

Visitors: We're in space now. Lift yourself up and prepare for ascension, you're never alone.
